Mali Sawyer Mali Sawyer, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and founder of Flowing Connections Counseling in Boise, Idaho. She earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology from the College of Idaho and her Master’s in Counseling from Boise State University, and is certified in Positive Discipline Parenting. With experience as both a school counselor and clinical counselor, Mali now focuses her private practice on helping individuals and families navigate anxiety and build stronger, more connected relationships. She believes parenting is one of the most crucial—and often under-supported—roles in shaping our world, and is passionate about creating spaces for growth, compassion, and understanding. Outside of her work, Mali enjoys spending time outdoors, baking bread, knitting, and being with family and friends.
Buck Sawyer I'm a lifelong Idahoan. I was born in Emmett and spent most of my childhood in Weiser. I came to Boise in 1980 and graduated from BSU. For most of the last forty years I've operated a business here, as well as in other markets, and am now partially retired. My wife and I live in the mountains outside of town, and write fiction books in my spare time. I am the parent of two adults and step-parent of two more. I am delighted with the relationships that I have with my children and where they are at in life, and feel that the skills and energy needed to build family relationships are very similar to that in business- neither function well when they become solely transactional or zero-sum. Once ownership in problems is shared, the solutions can be shared as well. When my daughter, a local Counselor, and Positive Parenting teacher, asked me to get certified and help train, I leapt at the chance to pair our experiences!
