Dr. Mark Lotspeich I have lived in Idaho since 1955. I attended schools in the Boise School District for 10 years and graduated from Lewiston High School in 1971. I received a Liberal Arts degree from the University of Idaho and a Master and PhD in Mathematics from the University of Idaho. My field of research is Combinatorial Number Theory.

I taught from 1981 until 2012 at the College of Idaho in Caldwell, Idaho. Courses included upper-level Calculus, Algebra, Geometry and History of Mathematics. I've volunteered at Cynthia Mann and Shadow Hills Elementaries. I was honored with Friends Of Education Award in 2007 by the Boise Education Association.

Piacaso said the meaning of life is to find a gift and the purpose of life is to give the gift away. I've been blessed with an understanding and love of Mathematics. Mathematics is one of my joys in life.
