Ayaka Nukui moved to Boise from Japan in the early 2000s with two suitcases and little English. She is an active member of â€œGyoza Clubâ€ for the love of making gyoza and enjoys cooking Japanese food with her friends. In her spare time, she teaches Japanese to children at the Idaho Japanese Language School. Her comfort food is miso soup.
