James Patrick James Patrick was named Executive Director of the Velma V. Morrison Center for the Performing Arts on the Campus of Boise State University in January of 2011. As the chief executive officer of Idaho’s premier performing arts center, he reports directly to the University President. Mr. Patrick oversees all day to day operations, including the artistic programming of the 2,037-seat main theatre, as well as various arts education programs. The Morrison Center is regularly ranked as one of the top university performing arts centers in the nation.

Prior to the Morrison Center, Mr. Patrick was Executive Director of the historic 1,772-seat Warner Theatre in Torrington, Connecticut from March 2004 to December 2010. Prior to that, he worked for the City University of New York (CUNY) as the Director of the Martin E. Segal Theatre Center on 34th Street and 5th Ave. in NYC from Aug.-2001 to March-2004. Mr. Patrick holds an M.F.A. in Performing Arts Management from CUNY's Brooklyn College, as well as a B.S. in Accounting from the business school at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. His previous experience in the arts also includes managerial positions at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, New Jersey’s Union County Arts Center, Renaissance and Celebrity Cruises, as well as producing his own projects in film and theatre.

Mr. Patrick was a professional actor for 6 years, with his most recognizable role being "Dr. Jacobs" on the soap opera Another World.
