Daniel Timberlake

Dan Timberlake is a Financial Consultant for Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC in Boise, Idaho.  He earned an MBA and PhD in Psychology from the University of Missouri in the early 1990’s.  He has been published in the Idaho Statesman writing about personal finance and has taught the Foundations of Investing course at the College of Western Idaho and Social Security Claiming Strategies for Boise Community Education.

Before becoming a Financial Consultant, Dan was a Psychologist and Director of Counseling Services at Boise State University and also taught and practiced at the University of Missouri, the University of Utah, Oregon State University, and Lane Community College in Eugene.

Daniel Kahneman (a psychologist at Princeton) won the Nobel Prize for Economics in 2002 which launched the field of Behavioral Finance and prompted Dan to refocus his career on helping people do better financially.

Dan is married and has 2 daughters.  His wife, Martha, is the chair of the Social and Human Relations Department at the College of Western Idaho.  When not working, Dan loves fly fishing, photography, and attempts to play golf.
