NOTE: Beginning Carving class is recommended as a prerequisite; if you have not previously taken a beginning carving class, you will be making a basic/beginner gnome instead of the advanced gnome. If you are attending class at a Boise Schools location, a Community Ed site coordinator will be at the entrance to direct you to your classroom.

Course Description
In this class, students will advance their woodcarving skills and create a standing gnome. Students will also paint their gnome as they wish to do, if time allows. This class will teach safety instructions for woodcarving, as well as the basic strokes, layout, carving cuts and finishing techniques. Beginning Carving class is recommended as a prerequisite; if you have not previously taken a beginning carving class, you will be making a basic/beginner gnome instead of the advanced gnome. If under 18, adult must accompany.
