NOTE: THIS CLASS IS FOR PEOPLE ONLY - do not bring dogs! If you are attending class at a Boise Schools location, a Community Ed site coordinator will be at the entrance to direct you to your classroom. TIMBERLINE HIGH SCHOOL: 701 E Boise Ave, Boise, ID 83706 Enter through the Clocktower entrance, located near the parking lot at Linden and Boise Ave. If you park in the lot near tennis courts, you will not find Community Ed! Community Education classes MIGHT be cancelled due to inclement weather. Decisions will be made by Boise School District leadership regarding evening activities, including Community Ed classes. Listen to local radio or television stations for information on weather cancellations or call the Community Education office at 208-854-4047.

Course Description

This 5-week series from The Animal Retreat (formerly Meridian Canine Rescue) will cover everything you need to know to live a happy, fulfilled life with your dog(s). Topics include preventing problem behaviors through enrichment activities, how dogs learn, questions to ask when hiring a trainer, how to speak dog (dog body language), promoting healthy dog/dog interactions, how to choose the right dog for your lifestyle, how to properly introduce a new dog into your home, managing multi-pet households, promoting safe interactions with kids and dogs. NOTE: class is for people only; do not bring dog(s)!

Includes one snuffle mat per paid registration.
