Course Description

Idaho and the Pacific Northwest is one of the most unique regions in the U.S. with features ranging from deserts to tree shrouded mountains to major river systems to spectacular ocean beaches and ports. Historical geography delineates historical events and locations in the context of their physical and cultural aspects. It demonstrates the dynamic character and changes of this Region from its fur trapping-mining-timber-ranching-farming past to the present. The questions: Who were we; who are we; where are we going? The past is a clue to the future!
