Students need to bring a sewing machine for nights 2 & 3. Also bring scissors, white or light blue thread, straight pins, seam ripper. If coming with a friend, one machine can be shared! Two irons will be furnished, but students can bring their own if they want. (must have a pad to use with it) Each kit will have pre-cut fabric for 16 flying geese.
Course Description
Students will make 4 sets of flying geese (4 per set) by 4 different methods: 1) Stitch and flip; 2) paper piecing; 3) 4 at a time quilt in a day method; 4) four at a time traditional method.
Also we will use half square triangles. They are a wonderful way to make scrap quilts and use up odd sizes that are left over from other quilts. Students will learn four ways to make triangles and then will use these triangles to design different quilt blocks.
Kit is provided. Each kit will have pre-cut fabric for 16 flying geese.
