Course Description

In this class we are going to talk about God, but not a dogmatic conversation. We will use all of our tools: faith and reason, mind and heart. We will look at the big questions of the universe. What is God, Man, our interrelationship? How does He make His will known to us? What is our concept of God and how has the way we have conceptualized God negatively influenced all aspects of society and sprouted atheism? How has our view of God impacted science, philosophy, society and religion? Is there a better view? Spoiler alert: yes, there is, and we will discuss. Can we prove that God even exists? What of free will and why might things work the way that they do? Are we pawns in a great battle between good and evil or is there more to it?

This class will challenge ideas to which perhaps we have clung. It will help us see the world in a new, brilliant, and hopeful light. Come armed with an open mind. This will be an exciting journey.
