Barbara Abo Barbara Abo has worked for the University of Idaho for 37 years in Ada and Minidoka Counties. She has a Master’s of Science in Home Economics Education from Iowa State

She is teaching adults hands-on kitchen skills help families stretch their food dollars and to eat healthy wholesome food at home.  Baking at home using basic and less expensive ingredients, which are nutritious, allows flexibility for personal likes and health concerns.

 

Barbara has developed bread recipes for the Wheat Commission's Bread in the Bag program and taught over 800 people how to make yeast bread.

 

She loves to bake and try new bread recipes.  She and her husband enjoy spending time with their adult children and grandchildren. Additionally she always has a knitting project in progress, and has knit a lot of socks!
