Dean Jackson Dean Jackson declares himself to be a born again foodie. He has been an avid collector of cookbooks for more than 30 years, but his love of the kitchen started far earlier than that. He fondly remembers his Mother and two aunts cooking on the wood stove and serving the hay bail farm crew... without using recipes.

He started cooking at just 8 years old when he made potato soup and donuts. He is now the family pie maker and cooks most of the meals for his family. Now proficient in wok cooking, he is currently studying southern cooking, such as Cajun Creole and low country.

Dean was a professional pilot for 40 years, including serving as a fighter pilot for the Idaho Air Guard. He wrote "Family Secrets," a fundraiser cookbook for Boise Vista Lion's club.
