Course Description
This class will help you understand how the new Patient Protection Affordable Care Act (PPACA) affects individuals under age 65 who are not eligible for group insurance. Overview of the ACA law, eligibility, penalties. advanceable tax credit/subsidies for premiums and out of pocket expenses to those who qualify. Discussion on the NEW Health Care Marketplace (Exchanges) including the new Open Enrollment Period, and how to apply for coverage to meet the March 31, 2014 deadline for coverage.
